OUGD406 Studio Brief 03 - Collaborative Practice - Group Designs

These were some of the designs that Hannah came up with, I found that the colours really contrasted with each other and it works well to really stand out and grab attention. However because the background is quite busy I felt like the type needed to be simple, or it could even be the other way around.

Mecellent 3D

This was the typeface that our group chose to go with, initially I did like this typeface as it was different and provided strong visual appeal. But on further evaluation I realised that this type was too extravagant, I also didn't like the random uppercase 'T', it just didn't seem like a very consistent typeface it also didn't have many variations.

Moving forward with the designs of the posters, Hannah made the necessary adjustments and removed the complicated background so that the type was the main feature.

She also produced this really interesting composition which I think was a really strong piece of design.

Elliott also mocked up one of the ideas we had for the wayfinding. We had come up with this idea to have boxes as a way to guide someone, this was an initial mock up.
