For my publication I want to create a zine that looks into people's handwriting and how it differs from masculine to feminine, personalities, disabilities etc. I want to stick with a greeting word such as 'Hello', taking zoomed in shots of the writing. From a young age we are all taught to write in the same way but handwriting still differs from person to person.
The purpose of this publication is to highlight that even through our writing humans are all different. It highlights individualities.
The target audience for this publication is people in the craft of handwriting - lettering as a profession - type enthusiasts - creatives. I will engage with my target audience through having to find out whose handwriting it is, this will keep them looking back and forth. It will give the handwriting context and personalisation - people love learning and knowing things about other people. I will charge my publication at £4.99 as I am creating it not for profit rather for creative expression. The publication will be in specialist bookstores selling art and photography books, zines etc like Village bookstore in Leeds.
